To toddler group, or to grinch?

You will also find a Rafflecopter at the bottom of this post.

Day one is all about surviving Christmas with or without toddler groups!

We don’t “do” toddler groups. We probably should. That doesn’t mean we have never been to a toddler group, it just means we have yet to live somewhere long enough to become a bonafide member of a group. There have been some lovely lovely people at the few I have attended with Sebastien.

Christmas groups aren’t much different, and I would feel like a little bit of a fraud if I rocked up in December demanding tea and mince pies in a group that I’ve not attended in 6 months. Although last year we did the local group the day after moving house, (in early December!) where I did a glittery footprint Christmas card, and I met two wonderful mamas there who I still have tea and coffee with to this day.

This year we have been to the local Christmas party at my husbands work, where Sebastien got to meet Santa. It was quite lovely, but at the same time, I’m not sure I can do Christmas for the entire month of December. The tree is already starting to Irk me, and it’s only been up for a week!

I do however wistfully scroll through my friends Instagram and Facebook pictures of their tiny tots at their toddler group Christmas lunch, toddler group Christmas disco, and toddler group card making sessions and think that maybe I should make more of an effort to attend these groups, that now Sebastien is 19 months old, he is actually missing out on all the festive fun! For now though, for this season I will settle with my own glitter party (thanks to all the destroyed baubles on the tree!) and we shall eat turkey slices for lunch whilst wearing Christmas jumpers! Hopefully next year, Sebastien’s social calendar will be full to burst!
Do you attend a regular tots group? Would you survive Christmas without them? Or are you glad you don’t have one?
